Sylar was pulled down the manhole by candace, the shapeshifter lady from the first season. He killed her in Mexico, thinking he would be able to steal her power, but found out he was powerless.
As for Nathan, I would think his miraculous recovery was the reason for his seclusion thus far this season.

I'm wondering how random the killing of DL actually was. They certainly focused on that guy's face for a bit - I have a feeling we'll see him again.

The more episodes that feature Kristen Bell the better. I'd like to see her in that white top again.. yowza!

Finally the show is going back to what worked for them in the first place. This season has been a disappointment, and I started to question whether it was a fluke with its success last year. With last nights episode it's the first time all season I'm looking forward with anticipation for next week's.
They could still do away with the Mexican brother and sister in my opinion. Also I'm wondering if Adam is good or evil? Good episode last night and hopefully they can finish off the season strong.

Best episode of the season, hands down.
Although to be honest, it was more connected to last season than the current one, and as such, we all had a nostalgically great feeling about it like we did watching Heroes last season.
Perhaps the producers felt it was a way to woo back disenchanted viewers?

I'd like to know why Elle can send shocks at Peter, during his escape, when the Haitian is standing right behind her? I thought his presence neutralized everyone's abilities?

I think the Haitian was still working as an undercover agent at that point. Would have looked a little suspicious on his part if he had just blocked all her power and let them get away.

The logic to this is that if the Haitian is a Telepath who can affect people's minds/forget things, then it would be logical that he's able to force people to forget how to use their powers. Ergo, his presence doesn't automatically mean that their powers are suppressed. Most likely, it's yet another series of mind tricks broadcast to an area around him, so it can be turned off.

Forget Kristin Bell, they need more topless Peter shots! I tend to like the bigger men, but he wasn't too shabby at all! Kept my attention....
I, too, enjoyed this episode more than previous episodes this season. There was no Claire and her teen angst, and that alone made it great. There wasn't any Hiro though. I hope when they show him again, he's more like he was in the first season. He was my favourite. Hopefully, the next episode keeps it up.

Finally saw this the other day - really blurred the distinction of good/evil with Adam.
Great ep overall, I think we're seeng a tightening of the storyline with the writer's strike. Not to worry folks that hate the Claire storyline, I get the feeling thats going to turn real dark, real fast. Perhaps meant to so that those with powers never get to lead real lives.
Kristen bell was hot, but Las Vegas Nikki in her babydoll dress....wow.

Well I gotta give credit to the show producers that they've turned this sucker around. The darker tone is back, the cliffhangers and most of the lame subplots have been elminated or downplayed.
Even flying highschool guy wasn't annoying in tonight's episode.
And Kristen Bell's powers are cool.
Off topic but Journey Man is getting very good too.

I loved tonight's episode, and next week's looks very good too. I dont know about the rest of you, but I have no idea who's good and who isn't; and I kind of like it. It makes the show seem much more...real, instead of being the typical "good guys vs. bad guys" thing. Lots of shades of grey, especially lately.
And agreed, Journeyman is getting very good.

The end of tonight's episode I could see coming a mile away, but it was still well done. Loved the "HOLY F-"

I agree, but I think Bob saved HRG...in hopes of getting the Hatian to erase his memory and come back as an agent.
Like discussed above the lines between good and evil seem very blurred..Spoiler in white for those who don't like seeing what will happen next week.... I see there might be a Hiro/Peter encounter...who would be the bad guy there?
