The Jays play their next six games in National League parks (Marlins & Braves) and it looks like Troy Glaus will see some time at shortstop this coming week:
"We're going to play Glaus at short, a couple of games," Gibbons said. "Hillenbrand will play third and (Aaron) Hill will play second. That's the name of our game, right now. It's offence. We want to keep that in." http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Con...3064&t=TS_Home

One downer is that Russ Adams seems to have "Chuck Knoblauch-itis" and threw away the 2nd half of a DP.

Yeah 7:07 ET v the Marlins in FLA.
Ty Taubenheim (0-3 5.68ERA) gets the start. In the Gabe Gross/David Bush/Zach Jackson trade to Mil for Lyle Overbay & the "player to be named later", that player was Ty.

That was barely mentioned on the telecast and in the recaps, partially because he wasn't charged with an error as he was trying to complete the DP. However, I have to say that I was a bit discouraged by that throw... he had lots of time, appeared to be balanced, and just made an awful throw... probably 8-10 feet wide of the base. And the worst part was that he had Kevin Millar beat by four or five steps. There was no need to rush the throw at all.
Obviously he's still learning the position, and it's more difficult to make that throw as a 2B vs. a SS... but it wasn't even close.

Yep on Sportsnet.
I always visit www.bluejays.com - You can get access to 99% of the games if you have "Rogers Preview" channel sometimes they move games there, which sucks, like during Mem Cup, I beleive yesterday was the first game not televised at all in Canada.

Swept away. Ouch. Well, the Marlins have been on a super hot streak, but I had hoped Doc could plug the hole.
Any idea what the Jay's all time interleague record is? I' thinking that it isn't good, but I may be off in that assessment.

Well two sweeps against Colorado and Florida this year are an achilles heel. Considering the Jays cant sweep a 3 game series, it's going to take them a total of 18 games to go 12-6 and even up the 6 losses in those series.

The Marlins??!? I mean come on, easily the 2nd worst team in MLB (behind KC of course) and our bats decided not to show up for the series.
Just a very frusterating series to watch, the bats were like 1 for 28 in scoring position (or very close to that). It was bad, really bad.

the Marlins are also quite hot, winning 8 straight right now. I do agree our RISP stats have to improve, though.

Well, another chance for a sweep. What happens this time?
Burnett makes his return v Horatio Ramirez, and neither has done anything this season yet.

If there was any time for the first sweep of the season now.
Our #2 makes his long-awaited return to the line-up. We're up against a young leftie who gets absolutely POUNDED by righties - Wells, Rios, Glaus, Hillenbrand should light him up.
Hopefully we can get the monkey off our back tonight - very interested in seeing Burnett...

Burnett went 6 with 7 K's and 2 ER's...Ryan with a nervous 9th but picked up the save.
