Would have guessed it'd be Neutens, but whatever works.
Basha + Cozens + picks in
Heger + Volo out
Clear win on paper for a team that hasn't lost a regulation games since November.

Yeah, i think so as well, I like Misha, but somebody had to go and JVM is needed as a shutdown defender plus you could have never have enough defensemen during the playoffs. I wonder if WillieD tried to trade Neutens, but teams weren't interested and at the end of the day, he re-couped some assets instead of losing a player and getting nothing in return.

Yeah, i think that blow-up and the use of threatening language was the final straw.

It was 3-0 T-Birds, it's now 7-3 Tigers. Another hat trick for Bryce Pickford, now only one goal behind Kris Russell for most by a Tigers defenseman in a season.

Yeah, I think he was playing centre on some shifts tonight. Also, I hope Vaisenen isn't seriously hurt, good thing JVM was not traded.

Shout out to Anholt BTW
I grew up a Canes fan. He took over a team that had missed the playoffs for 6 straight seasons and were basically the laughing stock of the WHL. They then made the playoffs in 8 of his 10 full seasons as GM including three trips to the conference finals.
Interesting that the Canes already had Parneta on staff and had hired him in August. Maybe this was the succession plan all along but got sped up when Anholt had his apparent incident. Not sure if Parneta is any good though, as the Giants were never anything special in his time running them.

Bryce Pickford just tied Kris Russell with his 32nd goal of the season. Tigers lead 6-2 late in period 2.

Just realized the Tigers next game to set the record is against the Oil Kings in Edmonton on Wednesday.
Should be a doozy. Tough schedule ahead with a home and home with the OKs, then PA and the Hitmen at home as well. Then on the road vs the Blades and PA again. It'll be tough to stay undefeated through that stretch of games.

I didn't see this coming either. I usually hear quite a bit. I thought I read that another complaint recently came in about Anholt's behaviour towards a player in 2015. I have a friend who used to billet players around that time so I texted him. He wouldn't say much though. Just that he knows who would have had a beef with Anholt from that era.

I've talked with some people close to the organization as well as current billet families. This does have to do with the 2015 incident. It was a mutual decision between the Anholt, the Hurrianes and the WHL. Basically step down and take some time away so that he can come back again at a later time.
From what I've been told, most of the players supported Anholt now and even the incident this year was blown out of proportion, however it went against the Standard of Conduct, so he did break the rules. I believe he will be back with another organization and wish him nothing but the best
