Gridin and the talk of this kid is the opposite of what Cooley says

It matters
Everyone cares
Gridin will breathe life into games that matter....no one's dyin

Sandman - what is your opinion on Frk getting a call-up at some point?

He's on an AHL contract this season, so he'd have to sign an NHL deal before that would even be possible.

Frk IMO, had a few stints in the NHL with a few different teams, and there times when he didn’t look at all like an NHL player to me. He always had some skill, and was a pretty high draft pick, but always seemed to have problems with the speed of the game. It looks to me like he’s made plenty of adjustments to his game, including his defensive play, and he plays with some power, but I’m not sure he skates well enough for the NHL.

Even saying that, if he were signed to an NHL deal, I would at least reward him with a call-up- and it would be interesting to see what he can do these days. Just my opinion.

Gridin up to 1.176 PPG through 20 games.

Higher than Rantanen’s 1.154 through 52 games as a 19 year old.

Still behind Nylander’s 1.184 as a 19 year old in 38 games and Spezza’s 1.256 PPG in 43 games as a 19 year old.

Frank Nazar is another interesting comparison. He had 24 in 21 (1.14) last year in the AHL before being called up and never looking back.

Kerins is tied for 5th-overall in AHL scoring, with 16gp/7g/12a/19pts,+2, 6 PIM.

Hunt is tied for 14th in scoring, with 15gp/5g/11a/16pts,+4, 18 PIM.

Brzustewicz is tied for 10th in scoring by D, with 19gp/4g/7a/11pts,+2, 2 PIM.

Cicek is tied for 38th in scoring by D, with 19gp/2g/5a/7pts,+8, 22 PIM.

Who would have thought a Sutter-coached team would be so high scoring?

He’s the one guy on the Wranglers that I think should be called up. Even over Kerins. He doesn’t look like he needs to figure things out. He looks like it is all figured out and he’s waiting for a call.
