One more thing Vancouver, thanks for Brzustewicz. And Kuzmenko. Oh, and Gridin.

Vladar had zero help in the first. If the D gives our goalies a chance I think both of them will do well

The Juggernaut Oilers barely squeaked by these guys? We're icing a mostly AHL team.

Nice to see a team have life. From what I had the chance to watch, the powerplay had life. Very good.

Toronto gets shut out. Ha. Thanks Marc.

I love that Zary embarrassed Hronek after he trashtalked the Flames near the end of last season.

What a goal!

Not good 1st but very good 2-3rd. I have no expectation for this season, so I will enjoy hockey and will be so happy if our young guys takes the next steps.
Zary and Pospisil were great, Honzek almost scored.

Huberdeau was really involved the whole game as well. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

Watching TSN and Onrait and Button are talking about how the Canucks lost the game because of Silovs, but no word on how the Flames battled back from a three goal deficit. This team never gets any credit. Fvck it, we might not make the playoffs, but I’m ready to watch this team show the entire league that we aren’t as bad as everyone thinks.

Go Flames Go

Bold by Huska two put two young sophomores out together during 3-on-3 OT but the gambit paid off, Zary and Pospisil each deserving huge credit for the winning goal.

50/50 hindsight, but really wish Backs didn't try to score an empty-netter through a defender, just maintain the possession and kill the clock or wait until you have a clearer shot. Would have been nice for the Canucks to walk away with nothing, but I'm just being greedy.

But no. Unlikely.

Ok. So I fell asleep when it was 4-3. I clearly missed a lot. The Oilers got shutout on home ice in game 1 and the Flames came back and won?!?!? Can't be mad at that. Here's the return of my dancing to celebrate the W:

I went to bed after the 2nd because I get up early for work. What a fantastic surprise!

The Zary OT goal was filthy.

Say what you will about Huska. The players consistently work hard and don’t give up for him. I think that’s a sign of a good head coach.

If you're including Gridin, might as well throw Ras in there too since he was drafted with the pick from the Baertschi trade.

I agree. He had someone to pass to as well. I get why he shot but kind of a dumb shot. And holy crap what a shot by Miller going the other way. But amazing to see Zary win it. Nice choice by Huska to send him out
