Sandman - keep doing your thing; your prospect reviews are A+, and the time and research you put into each are absolutely evident (and appreciated). Please ignore posters like Junglist. The rest of us rely on your reviews and we are lucky to have them on this site.

Mews generates a significant amount of shots on net for a dman!

Also worth noting just how much Mews is shooting this year compared to last year. Last year he was averaging 2.35 shots/game and this year he is averaging 4.315 short/game, almost double! He is only scroring at 6% right now, compared to 10% last year. His stats should go up even higher is as his scoring % averages out. Quite the year for him

Ok, so do you research. So, I came into the thread to ask about a prospect from the person who provides the best analysis, so do others.
Is that not doing my research or is google the only answer. I don't watch the games, so I am asking the people who do how he is progressing.
Junglist is quickly becoming the worst poster if Gullfoss didn't exist.

Yup, it’s a forum dedicated to discussing our thoughts and opinions on hockey, and our favourite team. No worries, Paulie- that’s what this site is for.

I clearly recall Sandman talking up Mews. I think you were really impressed with his play for Team Canada in the U18s. I really appreciate your thoughts on prospects.

Any chance the mods can ban Junglist? This poster is toxic.

Please let's not turn this thread into the rest of the main forum. It's easily the most fun part of the website for me and a lot of that is thanks to Sandman. It's especially fun when we have great prospects! I've been so pumped about Aydar Suniev - I hope he takes it to another level. What a shot on that kid... and Yes I know this is not the NCAA thread.

"Did Sandman notice what I noticed?" and "Hey, I should rewatch that footage again..." are two things I often think about when reading his posts. I think that's a great thing.

Getting shots through is a huge thing, a lot of our plays die trying to shoot through bodies.
Not saying he is this type of player, but Makar and Hughes are shifty and use their feet to open ice to creating clean shooting lanes, or in Hughes case create a tip.

100% I realized how badly I was in the wrong. I am sorry to everyone also for having to read any of that.
Love this forum and especially the prospect forum, given the state of the Flames.

Speaking of Everett, Landon DuPont is gaining most of the attention out of there (rightfully so) and I know this isn’t the draft thread, but Carter Bear is SLICK. Could be a home run of a pick as a centre.
