The Peruvian coach can shove it. Its a travesty that they're playing with 10.

Honestly I won’t not even celebrate that win. Lucky to get three points, while up a man for 35 mins.

Shocking performance…hopefully we learned a lesson and can be better moving forward.

Woof. That was unpleasant. But I'll take it.

Was watching the TSN highlights, saw a few Cavalry hats in the stands when they zoomed in on the crowd!

Yeah that was very average. Peru was in control until they should've been down to 10 earlier. And then Canada fortunate to get the red that was given.

As soon as Peru went to 10 they deflated and just took a player out of the back and we instantly had chances that should've had the score 3 or 4 easily.

Instead they didn't take them and we had to hold on and needed an excellent save by Crepeau.

Take the result but it's not a "signature win" as Wileman tried to sell, or should it put to rest any concerns with finishing or being in control of the game.

Marsch needs to start Shaffleburg next game and end the Larin-David strike partnership.

Also, Ismael Kone - woof, worst game by a Canadian I can remember.

I think he’s best against tired legs. Super sub!

Big win, wins are all that matter for now! This is something to build on now. Great that David finally scores and that will only help his future transfer value

I only saw about 15 minutes from the red to a bit after our goal but Canada's finishing attempts for a 2nd were horrendous.
Glad to see they at least held on.

A second goal or more would've been massive going into Saturday as well with tiebreakers maybe in place. It really was a missed opportunity considering how Peru just abandoned playing defense looking to instead score after going down to 10.

An Argentina win or draw means Canada only needs a draw on the weekend to advance. They have to play much better for that to happen. Canada was extremely fortunate with the red card.

Peru should have, at best, finished that game with 9 men.

If anything, Peru were fortunate that there was only 1 Red Card.

Yes it was an obvious red card... but without that card they probably would have lost the match. Canada took advantage of the man advantage, as they needed to. Benefiting from another red card likely won't happen again.

Peru is tough in every Copa America. In the last 5 Copa Americas they have placed 2nd once, 3rd twice and 4th once. They are not a powerhouse but this still is a great win for Canada given where Canada was 10 years ago. Peru made a big mistake and Canada capitalized. Making it out of this group would be a big win and anything else is icing on top.

Peru was ranked 31 and Canada 48.

Chile is 40.
