You've got to wonder how he was elected to a leadership position in the ATP amongst this.

From what I understand, he was voted to this position by his fellow Top 50 ATP peers. If that is indeed the case, it's almost as troubling as the domestic abuse charges that continue to dog Zverev.

I'm jumping on the Qinwen train. That Li Na buttslap was like a supercharger for her match this morning

Two Ukrainians in the quarters is a nice story.

Certainly this is Qinwen's best chance to date to snag her first grand slam. I think Kalinskaya has the game to beat her though and I'm picking the Russian to do so. Let's hope this prediction fares better than my Van Assche pick lol

This Gauff - Kostyuk match has not been of the highest quality.

Meanwhile, Gaby and Erin have advanced to the semi-finals in women's doubles. Gaby plays a mixed doubles match a little later tonight.

That's generous. I turned it off because it was nowhere near the standard you expect of a Grand Slam quarter.

Going to be a very late one tonight. I wonder if they even push Sinner-Rublev to tomorrow.

Looks like Djokovic had the return game going last night which is bad news for Fritz. Rublev playing Sinner tight but 0/6 on break points early in the match isn't going going to get it done for a guy like Rublev that has such slim margins facing players ranked ahead of him.

Yup, Sinner is just playing some unreal tennis right now and still has yet to drop a set in the tournament. Bweh played some fine ball, the Italian is just in the zone at the moment.

Gaby and Nathaniel Lammons lost in mixed doubles overnight, but she and Erin will play their women's doubles semi-final on Wednesday versus Ostapenko and Kichenok.

If Rohan Bopanna wins his doubles match today (he and his partner Matthew Ebden just won the opening set), he will be ranked #1 in doubles for the first time in his career. He is 43 years old.
Edit: And there it is.

Hurkacz and Medvedev are going five - Meddy was up 4-2 in set 4 and Hubi won five of the last six games in that 4th set.

If he gets through this Medvedev will have spent something like 17 hours on court. I don't think he'll have much chance of going further.
