Does anyone know is Tapatalk still works with this forum? This bottom banner ad is annoying as all ####ing hell. I browse CP most often from my iPad and have to zoom in to read. It also zooms the ####ing ad at the bottom. I wish this #### would just get disabled.

It's awful, but the response from Bingo kept me quiet. I feared this was just the new thing and his language was basically "yeah, this is here now, sorry". So I stopped commenting on it.

What browser? I'm on a small iOS device in Chrome, and the ad at the bottom is comically small. Have to zoom way in to even notice it, and then scroll down as well. The pop-up was terrible but IMO this is absolutely inconsequential. No ad blocker or anything.

The new ad situation on my mobile browser (Chrome on Android) is totally fine and doesn't bother me one bit. If that's what you stick with (Bingo/Photon) you'll have no complaints from this guy.
If we are moving the forum to a different platform, I'm just going to throw out a request for a night mode. That'd be sick.
Also happy to pitch in to compensate Photon for his time and efforts with all this work. Also, not offering that as a humblebrag. I don't know why jayswin would imply that. I make that offer in support of the community and not for...I don't even know what you think would be in it for me. Do you think I would be happy if I made somebody feel less financially comfortable because maybe they wouldn't be in a position to help fund things? My motivation would be the opposite of that - I would want to help so we can all share this.

It's not great, but there is a dark mode selector in the bottom left where it says --CP style 2

Now the popups at the bottom are not able to be closed. Not all of them but about half.
Also, I think Sliver should be able to grease the skids a bit so he can be a mod. OMG that would be awesome.

I still use it occasionally. It is a pretty crappy experience as well. I find it very slow on iOS/IpadOS for the hockey forum but tolerable for off topic. It runs much better on android. Lots of ads that you "accidentally" click on though.

I just use uBlock Origin on my computer. No ads whatsoever. Unfortunately, %90 of my site browsing is done on iPad or phone and I need to pinch zoom things in. It also blows the ad up as well. Just really ####ing annoying.

In general I like to turn this off for Calgarypuck they deserve the money. Anyways I found a solution that works for me.

Having to minimize, then close the bottom ads is really annoying. I'm definitely tempted to turn adblock on for CP if they keep making the ads harder to ignore.
EDIT: A few hours later, it's back to the old easy to close version. Thank goodness!

If you find ads that are playing noises let Bingo know, I don't think he reads this thread and only he would be able to tell the ad company about them.
