Yeah, everything Mando is doing is seemingly to smooth the rough edges and make TRoS and Palpatine fit even better within he wider lore. I really can't seem them starting a separate story in Universe 2. Most of TCW was smoothing the Prequels into the larger story and thus retroactively enhancing them. I think he's doing teh same thing with the time between RotJ and TFA.

But it sounds much earlier and will probably throw out some Sith Lore, which was left intentionally empty.

I mean we get all of the ancient Sith. But the rule of two starts with Bane

Bane
Zannah - kills Bane and becomes the Master

Cognus - Kills Zannah and becomes Master.

Millenium - Thrown out of the Sith Order, but survives and flees. Cognus takes on a new apprentice.

Darth Vectivus - Was somewhere between Millenium and Tennebus and was a bit of a soft Dark Lord of the Sith. He didn't want to conquer the galaxy, or gain power. He used the Force to run a mining company and then freaking died.

Empty for like a 1000 years
Tennebus
Plageuis
Palpatine.
I suspect we'll at least see some Nhil as well considering the period. And the fact that THR era factored in largely in Jedi Survivor.

Or could it be a force ghost? That's post Vader.

Also someone spotted this pic of Kanan on the control panel of the Ghost:

Although I fan girl'd seeing Hayden.

I saw Anakin and the Vader hint and the fact that she is in the world between worlds.

I expect that Anakin is going to take her through his fall and what happened afterwords as a lesson to be applied for the training of Sabine who is a lot like Anakin.

I expect that next week we are going to have a full Anakin/Vader/Ashoka episode.

I'm buckling up for a wild ride. I saw a theory out there that the mystery space dust Inquisitor was a Nightsister resurrected creature/construct and it just poofed after he was 'slain'.

That makes a ton of sense to me, remember when Opress died he puffed out green smoke too.

He seemed to die like the inquisitor Ahsoka killed in Tails of the Jedi.

Also Marrok should have tried to duel Ahsoka again, she was winning before and now has a better awareness of his skill.

The duel between Ahsoka and Balan had a really nice display of different fighting styles. It also surprised me a little to see Ahsoka force grip and smash Shin like she did. Felt like the Anakin coming out.

Also Shin is very cool.

I don't even think this is a theory. If you watch the Clone Wars, you can see this is definitely Nightsister magic.
The nightsisters are extremely powerful. Their leader, Mother Talzin, went down fighting Palpatine, Dooku, and Grievous all at once.

Baylon is a fantastic character and keeps becoming more and more interesting every episode. It's too bad Ray Stevenson has passed - one of the best new characters we've seen in a while.

Good episode, enjoyed it. As 1qqaaz says, it's a damn shame about Rey Stevenson. I daresay the most interesting character.

I'm about 2 seasons into Rebels, so this show makes a lot more sense now after coming in cold.

Sort of wish they were 1 hour though? Maybe it's just a product of it coming from the Rebels production house?

The sequels don't deserve and "smoothing" efforts.

They don't deserve any shows playing down or being creatively restricted in order to explain the bull#### that was TroS.

At least the prequels were a cohesive story that were also George Lucas star wars.

I prefer moving things to a new galaxy as a reset and acknowledging/honoring the events of the sequels as little as possible.

I liked the episode. Anakin/Ahsoka doesn't hit as hard for me because I'm not overly familiar with their relationship, but I'm intrigued on what will transpire in the world between worlds.

I think it's a good show, i just don't love how much it's making the animated series a prerequisite to fully appreciate the events of the show.

Sabine's decision was a good unexpected turn. These live action shows have badly needed more unexpected heel turn type moments like that where there's a moral dilemma. Too many of the disney characters have been far too pure and predictable. I'm really enjoying the grey and flawed characters in this one. Sisterly betrayal is honestly the last thing I expected from them given Kathleen an Co., especially after setting up Sabine as a prototypical boss girl early on.

Finally.. this is more like it.

The only thing that took me out of it was that the cliff edge Stonehenge place where they battled was very obviously the 360 degree blue screen in a room. Blurring out the ocean in the background made it worse and more obvious.

I don't know if Sabine's surrender was a heel turn. She's just very attached with Ezra and obsessed with saving his life, and that's partly Ezra's fault. I mean the last thing he did was

Quote:
  • Ezra Bridger : If you're watching this recording, then I owe you and explanation. There were several paths in front of me. While this wasn't the one I wanted to take. It's what I had to do. That's something Kanan taught me. I'm going to miss you all. Zeb, you can have the top bunk back - for now. Hera, I uh, left the meloorun in your room. I know it's your favorite. Sabine, don't forget
    Sabine Wren : Right.
    [Speaking simultaneously with Ezra's recording]
Sabine Wren : You're counting on
Ezra Bridger : I'm counting on you.
    Sabine Wren : For what?
Ezra Bridger : I couldn't have wished for a better family. I can't wait to come home.
Sabine is having the same problem with attachment that Anakin had. He can't let go of anyone and Sabine can't either. And that greed leads to the Darkside.

That's where I'm convinced that Anakin is going to show Ashoka his whole fall because of his attachment, his greed, his quest for greater power to save the ones he loves.

And honestly, I'm not sure that Ashoka saw that when Anakin was her master.

I'm sure we're going to see three Anakins. Good Anakin, Vader and unmasked and horribly scarred Vader.

Some good moments in this one.

My favorite was when Sabine faked out Shin with a force push then PSYCH! rockets to the face!

Anyone get the feeling that Baylon does a heel turn and ends up helping the heroes in the end? Then the season ends with his padiwan meeting CGI Luke and a 5 year old Ben Solo and going to start the Acadamy?

Good thing she isn't running this show. With the whole Way Between the Worlds thing there is an opportunity here to redeem Vader early and retcon the original trilogy too.
