We are talking a total stud here, he's got to be worth at least Nurse's $9.25m

There is a problem though, the Oilers only have about $8m in cap space with only 8 forwards signed

They will likely bridge Bouchard with a deal that takes him right to free agency. They can’t afford to pay him enough to sign him long-term. But that will take up most of that cap space even as a bridge deal.

They don’t care what happens after the next 3 years because by then they will likely have lost McDavid and Draisaitl. They will be back to square one chasing draft lotteries until the next “generational” talent comes along. Those seem to come along every 10 years so that means the next one should be in 2033. So they likely finish at the bottom of the league from 2026 to 2035ish.

I mean they really only have to play teams even 5 on 5 and they'd be a powerhouse. They never seem to figure that piece out, thankfully.

Well that was less then ideal. Vegas is a good team kudos to them. Not a single team I care about left, so see you next year I guess.

Marshassault knows he's got a guy on wobbly legs who's movement back there is easy to take advantage of.

At this level, glaring mistakes are often fatigue related, and the Oilers by design play a game to make this continuously happen.
It's outstanding.

I guess it adds up over the series, but at this point in the game he hadn't been overplayed - they'd actually played them lightly in the first period.

He's just not good defensively (I can't beleive he got Selke votes).

Imagine throwing out your crappiest defensive players to kill penalties so they can pad their stats.

Drysaddle was brutal on that second goal in the highlight pack (3rd goal for Vegas), but I think RNH needs to take some #### on the first. It is one thing to "switch", but he let his guy waltz in through the slot and didn't bother to pick up anyone else either. Pitiful, and I love it

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't bother talking to eachother because no one listens anyway.

September can’t come fast enough when you’ll be back posting about how this is the year!

Imagine wasting McDavid's whole career and not winning a single cup
That's actually possible since they have made him de facto coach of that team and he doesn't seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. You can't win in the playoffs just being a one or two line team but he wants to play 30min every game. Selfish and dumb.

Have I ever posted that? Maybe.

I like the team. Guess we see what the off-season brings.

Stang always gets my respect as a fellow human and their willingness to take their lumps here. My only real issue with them is their clearly piss poor choice of Hockey fandoms lol

You're a good man, stang. Can't be easy coming on another teams forum and talking about your teams loss.
