In general it is so tiresome to keep reading about how any given series is over as soon as there is an important win.
A bunch of this forum has been mourning an Oilers cup win for weeks now!

Frick, I'll worry about that if it happens.
I still feel that Dallas takes this series.

I'd love to see a Seattle-Vegas series. It would actually pull me back into watching some games in this playoffs.

They didn’t win yet? Last night Spector said they had a commanding 1-1 lead so it must be over by now almost 24 hours later.

Definitely, but I can't help but wonder how much the shooting in Dallas affected the Stars mindset?

I picture all those billionaire team owners in big leather chairs around the TV watching Kraken-Knights conference final, smoking cigars and cackling while counting the hundreds of millions of expansion fees.

Poile deserved to be replaced for that incompetence.
Made me laugh!

you should put just as much blame on Waddell with the Canes.
If it wasn't for him taking the full salary of Puljujarvi, Holland couldn't have made the deal.

I'd cheer for the Kraken.

After being mocked by so many for so long about creating a crappy team and hiring a bad coach, I'd like to see them stick it to the critics some more.

forget the leafs, Seattle hasn't won the cup in over 100 years.
It's their turn.

I can't help but watch every series through the lens of who will be better against Edmonton.
Vegas needs to just get the job done so I can stop caring and enjoy hockey for hockey.

I agree. I keep looking around the NHL and ask myself, if this team wins can they beat Edmonton. I'm not liking what I see.

If the Canes had Svechnikov healthy I would still be confident they could beat Edmonton. Florida and Seattle are playing great but don't see it.

Devils and Canes would be 50/50 but this is way too tight for my liking. Edmonton must go away now.

It’s gonna come down to which team is able to defend against the McPP, or at least limit its effectiveness. Right now it seems like if you take a penalty against Edmonton, it’s pretty much an automatic goal against. You could be completely dominating them 5 on 5 and making them look like an AHL team for the majority of the game, but if they get fed a bunch of PPs they’re probably gonna win.

LA and Vegas both had poor PK's in the regular season. The Stars had the 3rd best. IMO they are a good match up against Edmonton too.

Canes and Devils were 2nd and 4th best as well. Both these teams can beat Edmonton as well. Devils are very fast and deep, Carolina is an elite team.

But I do feel less confident than last year when they faced the Avs.

Lots of playoffs to go and hopefully that 60% pp slows up but it's not looking good compared to last year so far.

Stars will have no chance against anyone with Oettinger playing like this and Robertson being completely invisible. When did they take Pavelski off the Hintz line?

Did anyone have Seattle being able to roll a 5 twice in three games on Oettinger and get one pull? Without their top scorer?

LA and Vegas also had at or near the bottom of the league goaltending all year, which I think may have hurt their PK numbers more than anything.

Oettinger hasn't looked as good as he can be, at least so far.

This. With the Oilers still in it, I can't even honestly enjoy the playoffs right now, or cheer for the teams I want to win. All I'm doing is checking to see which strong teams are left and how good of a chance they have against the Oilers.

I still think the Stars should win this series but Oettinger needs to play a lot better. That was a Markstromesque playoff performance by him last night.
