It feels like they have like 4 or 5.

Always a tough game that first one back from a long road trip but the penalty on the third goal was egregiously bad.

Sigh.

Coleman and Mangiapane can’t make a pass to each other, Mang catches up to the puck and flings it back to the point for more perimeter rubbish.

I hate this unskilled shot volume trash.

If I was the coach, I would start Vladar for the second period because equal parts: (a) Markstrom had been bad again; and (b) team in front of him needs a wake-up.

Another frustrating game so far.

That was a lazy, bs period.

Lazy. Just garbage. They should be bagskated after that performance especially after the Nashville game.

I’m going to say no since he drafted them. Might as well try them out a bit and inject some life into the lineup. I personally would like to see Wolf.

Not sure who will provide it, but the team needs a serious spark from someone, somehow.

It's not over, but the Flames need the next one. Avs are faster and want it more. Doesn't bode well for the Flames if they keep chasing for the final 40.

Flames actually had some okay chances. Two nice toe saves stand out.

Defensively a mess. Too slow and not moving their feet. Too bad Pelletier isnt good enough to even get a game, they could use some faster players.

I dont think any goals are on Markstrom but man he is so busy in net right now. Over comitting, playing small, nothing looks easy at all

This is such a lame excuse. What's tough? Staying at a 5 stars hotel?

Awful period. You have to think that this game is likely over. Avs are an elite team, and I'm just not sure the Flames have what it takes to come back in this one.

I think the 3rd one is on Marky. That’s just him not being positionally sound and as you say, overplaying. It’s a bad read.

Markstrom is just “there”. He’s not really doing anything, but he’s certainly playing…like most of the rest of his team.

They scored 6 last game.

They can still win this. Unlikely, but you never know. But they gotta get skating and try to keep up to the Avs. Need to play angry and not just glad to be there.

edit: ooops 6 goals the game before that

If Markstrom has a good period it's 1-0. His numbers are terrible, he looks terrible, he's terrible.

Sutter won't change his lines, won't start Vladar who has obviously earned it, and won't let young guys have a chance.

Watching them play it's like he is trying to make things as hard on the team as he can to teach them to battle through adversity or something.

I don't really understand the Markstrom blame. Rantanen one timer, 2 on 1 and a bounce off the boards, none of which are obviously his fault. Meanwhile rest of the team didn't show up / got outplayed.

I get the whole lull after a road trip thing but the Flames seem to take it to the next level.

Thought getting booed off home ice after the Blues loss was supposed to have motivated the team. Heading for another booing tonight.

They scored 1 down 2-0 and couldn't come back against a weak team.

They aren't coming back against the champs. Not with Lucic getting top 6 minutes.

It's literally every single GT now. If they're losing and he's in net, it's his fault. Doesn't matter if it's true or not.
