Vliet's option was declined due to "international roster requirements". That sucks.

Interesting that "international roster requirements" are the reason. With Field gone, Mason and Roloff not officially confirmed, and Daley signed, there should be room for him. Makes me wonder if there's some new internationals already signed?

I would not cry to see any of the TBD move on. Obviously they would all need to be replaced, which is easier said than done.

I wonder if we see Assi return, he is only 18 and in my opinion not ready for the MLS.

Vliet not returning is a shame. He was great for us. Hope we bring in a LB so Escalante isn't stuck there full time

Would love to see C Trafford retire and Assi come back. That's what I want for Christmas!

Former Player News: Aribim Pepple was recalled by Luton Town from his loan to Grimsby today. He only started 1 league match at Grimsby and made 15 appearances with no goals.

Have to imagine they're looking for him to get more minutes somewhere else

Pepple was getting ripped pretty good. IMO he left for Europe too early both times. A couple solid seasons in the CPL would have been better for his development than a year with Granada's U-19s and a couple hundred minutes in League 2.

In other news, Vliet signed with Pacific. The Roloff signing is really coming back to bite Cavalry. I get why it was needed as Farago had an injury that wasn't getting better and no one knew when Carducci would be back. But losing one of your best players to international roster rules while having to spend an international roster spot on a backup GK is really poor roster building.
