I think the reason the C looks black is because we're only seeing the black edge around the white logo and the yellow edge around it...
If it were the black logo, we should see the white edge and the yellow edge, which we don't.

First reaction is I don't hate it, but I also don't love it.
Do the Flames use focus groups when developing new brand jerseys? As a marketing professional we always used focus groups to get feedback on ideas and concepts for creative. It would make sense to me that they'd do this with season ticket holders for feedback before coming to a final look.
This is not a criticism either, the retro away jersey is my fav jersey in sports. The home jersey is great and I'm a big fan of blasty.

Well these are just reverse retros. They're supposed to be a quick, fun one off that is literally already a prior jersey just with different colours.

Makes sense. I should have clarified the focus group question was more of a general one vs specific to the reverse retro.
