I'm genuinely curious. How many of the people saying "don't participate in the fear parade" have security systems installed in their homes, fences around their properties, oppose all gun control legislation, and pre-screen who their daughters are allowed to date?
until you have had a break in and feel violated in your home, you can't judge anyone. I firmly believe you should be safe in your home and if having a licensed firearm makes you feel safer you should be allowed to. You should also not have to worry that someone can enter your home and assault you with a gun leaving you helpless to protect your family.

I experienced a break-in some time ago, I don’t know how me having a gun could have prevented it since I wasn’t home at the time. I was living with roommates at the time and the most interesting part is that there was a silver 9mm style pellet gun that was made before they had to put orange safety markings on pellets guns(so it looked like a real gun)sitting on the coffee table in the living room at the time of the break-in. It would have been one of the first things the burglar would have seen from a window or once they entered and them seeing that there were potentially guns in the home didn’t deter them one bit, in fact they stole they gun too.

You owning a gun doesn’t change whether or not a random person can enter your home and assault you with a gun, nor does it make it any more or less likely to occur. It might in the case of targeted hits if you were in a gang or something, but I’m guessing that is probably not the case.

Going to go ahead and give you the benefit of the doubt that the “FFS” is directed at the allegations of the guards beating the inmate in question.

Yeah, maybe. But of all the things turning the world to crap, this is way far down the list of things to worry about. Is it an issue, probably. Does it affect many people, not really.
In the prison my sister works in, trans have to be put in protective custody. Can't put them with the males because they will be higher targets for sexual assaults, and can't put them with females for the already mentioned reasons.
