Especially considering Minnesota's d isn't very solid. Sounds like a bad decision for short term. Maybe they want to build around Talbot long term? But that's a mistake too.

He wasn’t good in game 5 and Talbot was the hottest goaltender in the league to end the season. They would have been better off starting Talbot to open the series as he was hot and switch to Fleury if he faltered.

Such an over-rated Stanley Cup winning goalie with four Finals appearances and a Vezina Trophy on his shelf. This has much more to do with how difficult it seems to be to integrate a new goalie into a team's system with only a few weeks to spare before the playoffs. This happens with exceptional consistency.
