We got lucky it was Klingberg and not some 4th line FWD so it was an even loss of top pair Dmen by misconducts.

Pretty sure the Flames never said they were going to run you out of the rink Mr. Bowness. Feel free to build that narrative though.

Tanev moves the puck way better than Regehr ever did.
And I like Robin Regehr.

Tanev, Hanifin and Gudbranson combined for 74.5 minutes of ice.
Unreal.

Well...that was exhausting. Fun. And exhausting. Never felt like Flames would lose...though it took a LOT of work to keep it the way it ended.
Put on my 2004 team-signed jersey just after the anthem. Bought it at a charity auction just before "the run"....hoping this time the coach gets them all the way!!
Go Flames Go!!

Flames played a near perfect playoff game took what was given. See the Panthers game they couldn't keep things on the level and it cost them game 1.

This is my issue with the rule...he instigated the fight, Rasmus gets kicked out. What's stopping a fourth liner from doing that?

That shift from Gaudreau and Tkachuk at the end of the game was so awesome. There was a moment where Tkachuk had the puck down low and Gaudreau was open in front of the net for a second. Tkachuk looked off Johnny and decided to kill time in the corner instead - what a smart, responsible play. Rather than try to pass the puck to Gaudreau hoping for a chance to score another, he kills the time. He held possession below the goal line for almost 20 seconds holding off two Dallas players single-handed. What a beast. Gaudreau helped do the same thing and was relentless defensively tonight. Those two are both captain material right now.

Yeah he is just deflecting that his club got physically clobbered in this one.
Mind games....its playoff time.

Anyway, I am surprised that anyone would argue about that icing call. It was obvious that it was shot from behind the center line. You could see it as plain as day on the CBC feed.
Loved this game. Sutter had the team adapt in order to grind out the win and everyone bought in. Once it was clear that it wasn't going to be a high scoring game, they changed pace. That's what "knowing how to win" means. The effort by Tkachuk in the last minute was intense. You won't see the golden boys up north do that. They would have turned over the puck to get a chance at an empty net.

Yeah it was an interesting interview. I get it though......he has to be positive about his team, no matter what. And there is stuff there for the Stars to be positive about, but maybe not as positive as the coach is making it out to be. It is what it is.
