Sadly due to the early start I missed of the game.

This team can play with anyone in the league. It's a good feeling.

Hrudey has always been bitter because Sutter called out young players unlike his hero Al Arbour. Then goes on to say Arbour did the same thing but in the dressing room and not in public. Maybe Kelly forgets that back in the 70's and 80's every game wasn't on tv and there wasn't before game and after game press conferences with stupid press people.

I am sure the player has heard directly from Sutter before it ever gets to the press.

I really think the league should go back to ref's names on their sweaters.

When I was a kid there was so much recognition of who was calling the game. It created hope ... dread ... you felt some refs hated you.

Added a lot of colour to the game.

I am always happy to see the Mean Sonahan make an appearance.

The lineup for Dean Morton was very touching. Lots of Flames stayed in line to pay their respects instead of engaging in the post game centre ice celebration. Lucic and Gudbranson were the last guys in line, Markstrom handed over the game puck, and the officiating crew waited at the end of the rink for a final send off. Morton’s family came out onto the ice for a couple of photos.

This is what makes hockey such a great game.
it was awesome to leave when it's still light out at 4pm and be home by 9!

Funny to see these pop up in the same thread

I assume the Koharski reference was about recognizing refs and the name drop in Wayne’s World

Spoiler!
