He's clearly not a systems guy given their structure so far, but he might have the motivation side down. Given what he's gone up against and accomplished, I'm not surprised at that.
Could be one of those genius risky moves that everybody burned them for at the outset.

Edmonton has looked pretty bad over the last few games without the puck, but Koskinen bailed them out.
Maybe the coaching bump is fading. How soon til McDavid starts pouting again and demands that this coach be let go. I expect a closed door meeting at the end of the year and the next coach of the Oilers will be his dad.
