Only 1 shot against in the 1st.
Not good enough offensively, but they were solid defensively.

Sometimes I just think these guys need to spend more time on shooting drills.

Oh Bieksa, the puck was at his feet, that's why he was a bit low there.
Why do we have to make any excuses for that hit? Just say it's the right call and move along.

I just thought in general it was bad hockey. Sloppy and not entertaining, regardless of your rooting interest.

Not sure what that was that period. One shot against is good though I guess?

I bet Sutter liked that period considering the Flames gave up nothing

I think the Flames are too predictable on the PP. Theyre trying to get deflections and tips ins and the Canucks know it. The Canucks are boxing themselves in and blocking a ton of shots. The Flames need to have sharper passes in the next period and actually make some plays.

I feel like if a Flame made that hit we'd hear nothing but calls for a suspension from this panel.

It was one of the dirtiest ones I've seen in a while.
I just don't understand jumping to the defense of Myers and chalking it up to stature and that Lewis "should've known"
It's your responsibility if you're Myers to not plow your shoulder into his helmet.
It was entirely avoidable, and he decided in the heat of the moment to do it anyways.

Canucks really collapsed and were in the shooting lanes. Flames need to keep at it, especially with Myers out for the rest of the game.

Work hard and win battles on every shift are what Sutter teams have always been about.
Hanifin , basically, confirmed it.

It sure is fun every saturday listening to creative slants at the expense of the team you cheer for.
Looking forward to the next 17 or so.

Yup some headshots are a bit of bad luck or late changes by the player that gets hit. In this case, an upset Myers knowingly tracked and watched Lewis and didn't let up.
