Not sure he ever actually struggled in Edmonton. He was great in his first year. After his second year, he started off on an absolute tear, then went on a bit of a cold streak scoring goals, and then got demoted to a scrub line with Jujhar Khaira. And remember, Edmonton's blueline and bottom six is basically AHL-calibre.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Instead of the fire drill to close out games, they just continue playing structured hockey and the empty net goals inevitably come.
