Was at the game. holy the atmosphere was great! Everyone handled Fox the proper way and the disallowed goal was icing on the cake. Thanks for the bday win flames!

I don’t know if they showed it on the broadcast, but when he was sitting on the bench after the goal, the big screen at the dome showed Tkachuk with the smuggest grin on his face. It was priceless.

Lindholm's reaction to the Tkachuk goal was priceless. I'm not sure if I have ever seen Tkachuk look so happy as well. As much flack as he gets for trying to push the buttons of opposing teams, he rarely if ever over celebrates a goal.

Lol.

Then why was everyone so butthurt we didn’t get Eichel if the players assembled don’t matter and Sutter could do this with any 23 guys? Why are we worried about Johnny and Chucky re-signing if it’s all on the coach?

Tre has put together a great roster and his signings have paid dividends. I’m glad he picked a coach who can get the best out of the players and that Tre built the roster to the coach’s strengths. That’s real GM skill. You’d have to be clueless to think otherwise.

My favourite part of the ATL’s this year is that Lucic scoring seems to be rock bottom for whatever team allows the goal.

Also, don’t look now but Lucic is scoring at almost a 30 goal pace (29.8 to be exact).

Obviously he won’t keep that up but holy crap is he ever better than Neal.

This is the best the dome has sounded in two years. Sure there was a pandemic but it was electric.

no kidding what a terrible take that was

Markstrom, Brad's UFA signing he stole from Vancouver/Edmonton has 4 shutouts in 9 games. 4th time in NHL history that has happened to start a season.

its funny that fans are always like "we let Lucic score on us"

when he has more goals than half their team or more

Lucic has been decent, which is good. He isn’t a liability.

So Kylington is 5th in team scoring with 7 points in 10 games.

This makes me happy.

When the Flames score first, they are 7-0-1, 33 goals for and 10 goals against.

That's the type of team that is effective in the playoffs - when they get a lead, it's over.

Also, in their last 3 Ws, they have outscored the opposition 14-0

Another thing I was dead wrong about. Before the DS hire, I wanted both guys but definitely Gallant more.

Looks to be a not great fit in NY. Could change, but didn't see that coming.

Tre built the roster to the coach's strengths? Hah. So he knew 4 years ago that Sutter would be the coach of the 2021/22 Flames and was just messing with us with the past 4 years of futility (aside from the lightning in a bottle stretch in 2019).

Left the teams two best players and biggest stars in a situation where they have a substantial risk of leaving for very little return. All part of the master plan I guess. He built a roster of players for a coach that he didn't even know he was going to hire. I'd say that's pure dumb luck and good fortune, not real gm skill.
