Dallas drafted only one star in the 90's. Thank you Dallas!

Crazy part is since the cutoff is 1990, Colorado's list doesn't even include Sakic, Sundin and Goulet (Peter Stastny was undrafted).

I assume they have a tough definition of "star".

Detroit's record doesn't bode well for Edmonton's future.

Surprised the Bruins are so high as they have never really had the lows of some of the other organizations over the decades. Flames have done well considering they have never drafted top 3 although that Darryl Sutter decade was one to forget.

fun to see guys that got passed over by all teams for multiple rounds succeed, or even become stars.

I had a ready made db for 2015-19 drafts.
Filtered out
players that have played 81 or less games
with a point per game under 0.39
Only 6 players drafted in those 5 years have hit those marks
Connor Garland
Jesper Bratt
Drake Batherson
Anthony Cirelli
and ...
Andrew Mangiapane
Adam Fox
Calgary with 2/6

Same with Kylington. He's played well, but hasn't faced elite talent and was given the best partner.
Bad signs and good signs, but only signs with a small sample size.

The most concerning thing about Rasmus’ prior year is how drastic a decline it was without really any explanatory factor I can think of unless they kept an injury really under wraps
A) he played with good players for the most part
B) he was clearly dragging those players down despite them playing well together prior
C) similar usage as to past seasons
D) wasn’t due to the coaching change as he was bad with both
So why did he just suddenly start playing bad in situations he used to play well?

Yeah the forwards are deep.
The defense is suspect.
The hope is around the goaltending, as a bounce back Markstrom and Vladar becoming more than "who?" likely moves that up to what 10?

Shows how much pre-season I've watched this year. Forgot about his shoulder surgery last season.

Key problem is the when and against who as well. Kylington had more ice against weak rosters with Tanev for example. Valimaki's only time with Tanev was last night against a reasonably full Jets team. A lot of Zadorov's time was in the Edmonton game.
Amazing to see what Tanev can do with a partner though. Great signing.
