If only that was the 2 millionth run.
Bob Watson scored MLB's 1 millionth run in 1975. The 2 millionth will score this week.

Wondering how far managers will take the third time through the order analytics? Chicago just took out a pitcher with the following line who was starting the 3rd time through the order:
5.0IP 2H 0ER 2BB 3SO 65 pitches
Next guy comes in and walks the bases loaded and the guy after gives up the game tying double. This is lunacy!

I heard that in this case they took Lynn out because they want to start him again on Wednesday. And also it's a 7 inning game, so you bring your 8th inning guy in the 6th.

Sounds like Ozuna and his wife are nutbars. She was charged with domestic violence last year, now this year he is. What can you say? Why be a couple if you're so volatile?

Good riddance. His career is done.
@Jeffpassan:
From Sandy Springs, Ga., police: Officers allegedly witnessed Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna grab his wife by her neck and throw her against a wall. He also hit her with a cast on his arm, according to the department's release.

Starting to really believe in the Giants. They're crushing Dodger pitching this weekend.

Pujols with 3XBH in his last 2 games and an over .800OPS for Dodgers. Not to bad for the 41 year old.

The bullpen needs work, but Posey might be having an MVP season after sitting out last year.

Many yup. Some choose to bring in prospects as relievers, but I think you hit the general nail on the head.

Tonight marked the first time Stephen Strasburg had started three consecutive turns of the rotation since signing his $245M extension in 2019.
Strasburg also had a trainer visit in the first inning and stayed in the game. Then he got hit by a comebacker in the second inning and Davey Martinez has seen enough and takes him out. Seems really dumb on Martinez to leave him in there with all his injuries woes hes had.

Cody Bellinger just hit a grand slam on a 3-0 pitch with the Dodgers up 7-1 in the first inning. Tony La Russa is somewhere pissed right off.
