Well, like I said, that’s the argument. But if you put Monny under oath, he’d probably have to say “yeah, I kicked it”.

He was trying to kick it up to his stick when he was hauled down.

That was the right call. As much as we may not like it, they got it right.

Flames were the better team in the period as the Flyers are going through the motions. It's a shame the Flames haven't been opportunistic to open the season as they had an opportunity to take a stranglehold on this game but it appears they are going to have to try and win games the hard way until some of these players start cashing in on scoring opportunities.

Watch it from the angle from where the shot was taken. You can clearly see the Flyer player sweep his foot back and push Mony's skate. It was the flyer player who pushed his skate in.

Good period. Liked most of it.

I hope they remember to drive short blocker side on Elliott tonight. Super squishy and loves to shrug his shoulders a lot on those goals.

Frustrating period with all the penalties and the goal called back. But it's nice to be playing with a lead for a change, and overall the team looks much better tonight. Hopefully the floodgates will finally open for us in the 2nd. Just gotta stick with it.

Disappointing to only be up 1-0 on a team playing as badly as the flyers did

Need some more from the bottom 6, didn’t generate much again

I'm not one to get upset about draft picks, especially when ours are doing well lately.. but Demko getting a start tonight while Mason MacDonald is back in the ECHL on an AHL contract.

(context, quick Sportsnet segment)

Frolik is closing in on 300 games and 150 points as a Flame.

That really was a solid signing by Treliving.
