Gilgic with a good round today to earn some much needed FedEx cup points. Currently T-26.
Only two tournaments left before the playoffs, not looking good for him, Sloan or Hearn to make it.
They will need to have a good year next season or it's back to the KFT finals or worse.

Here he is upping his heel cred. Hopefully he wins the first major when fans are back so he can do the DX "Suck It" to everyone.

Rory with another bad opening round. Not playing well at the moment so doesn’t appear he’ll be a factor at the PGA unfortunately.

Oh yeah, there's a major this weekend. PGA ends up back in August, just like old times.

Fowler and Spieth the only really bad rounds from big guys, both at +3.
Fowler's card is a geometry lesson. 4 birdies, 5 bogeys, a double and 6 pars.
Hadwin is -2.

I had a chance to play that course last November. Passed as I had already paid for a big dollar course that trip. Won't make that mistake again. Looks gorgeous.

Hadwin's -2 is pretty strong for an afternoon round. If he has a strong round tomorrow morning, he'll be looking pretty good going into the weekend.
For everyone saying Canadians don't get enough air time, they had a camera guy following Hadwin and showed every Hadwin shot on the back 9.
Weird coverage on ESPN in that CBS's crew did a few hours for prime time, but it was all on ESPN.

They were all wearing sweaters mid afternoon in early August. What's the weather like in November!? Probably about the same I guess.

I misremembered. It was October and not November.
San Fran weather is much like Vancouver. It was smoking hot the whole time until the very end when I wish I would have had my snowsuit.
The year before we were down over New Years and Pebble had people on the course on December 30th.

Yeah, but I checked the weather in San Fran while I was watching them play in sweaters and it was currently 21 degrees celcius.

OMG!!!! That's horrible. He had one last week from a foot that ringed almost a full 360 and dropped. Fowler could have been elite but something changed in the last few years.

Why is it so cold in San Fran? It's August and everyone is wearing two layers.

The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.
- I always thought that line was attributed to Mark Twain, but it seems he never actually said it

A little flattering to his friends on tour, but very neat perspective on a lot of shots. You can tell he's a few levels deeper on analysis on each hole than even the commentators.

I'm looking forward the watching DJ fall apart on the back and lose the PGA. I really dislike him. I'm hoping that Tony or Bryson can take this although a 4 or 5 man playoff would be fun to watch.
