Nice to see Rittich not give up anything thus far this preseason. Still, would have liked him to see more shots before the real games start.

Pitches a shutout and only gets third star.

Rittich joking with Talbot about that exchange with Berdin, love it. Hope to see more of it this season.

Seems about right. Did the baby Jets even have 3 dangerous scoring chances in the entire game?

I was at the game, lucic won every board battle and the other team seem to give him a lot of space. He screened the goalie on Monahans goal. I really like him as a bottom 6 with pp time.

scrutiny was on guys like Dube, Czarnik, and Kylington and I thought they played a perfect game.
Jankowski concerns me though.

Boy, strong games for Dube, Gio, Johnny, Lucic, Rittich and Backlund tonight I thought.

Rittich with the shutout. Nicely done. Lucic playing well, he had multiple good chances, hopefully he builds on that and continues to the reg season. Flames got more comfortable as the game went on.
Goodnight, and Go Flames!

Looked nice not having Neil up front anywhere. Lucic was contributing.
Neil made his lines pretty much short handed.

Another takeaway from tonight is the adjustment to our powerplay to have guys situated on their off wings. Gaudreau was channelling his inner Kucherov with the one time attempts.

I liked that super icing dump-in on the PP, that was different.
