Game management began early.
Late in the period Lindholm blatantly tripped and has the Isles stick stuck between his legs for 10 seconds. I think he got a stick up high on that 0.5 seconds faceoff too.
What a period though!

Ryan Leslie sure seems to have an excellent repertoire with the team.

That was the best period of hockey I have seen in a long time. I would have said that even if the score was even.
Flames came to play.
Its becoming more difficult to plug different players into any spot that Frolik occupies.
Treliving has some tough decisions to make.

Great 1st so far. What'd they have, 3 shots?
Their biggest asset is defense, and Calgary had possession for a good part of the period. Gonna have to be an aggressive Isles team to turn the tables
Gonna be a fun Wednesday night!

Czarnik and Bennett haven't played together all season. Even though we should have tried a Czarnik-Bennett-Neal line two games in.

I wonder how the Oilers fans are feeling watching this domination from the Flames tonight against the #3 team in the league through pure depth, and the Oilers will meet the Islanders tomorrow with this lineup

Brutal Situational reffing at the end of the second. Refs need to keep the game close. Brutal.

Man that pass by Frolik to Backlund was awesome. Hope to see more of that in the 2nd. New York is a good team, they’ll likely be better in the 2nd so hopefully the Flames are prepared.

I sure wish Czarnik could bring his play tonight consistently. He's pretty dynamic when he's on...and speedy. Hathaway was showing some great speed too. I did a double take to see who it was

Flames looked great this period, all lines were pressuring and islanders had no answer to the relentless cycling in their zone, pretty much all flames that period. Hope they come out and continue the beating in the second! I honestly can’t criticize any flames play, total team effort out there! Really liking the new line combinations so far it’s great to see a coach make smart changes and seeing young guys taking full advantage of their opportunity especially Czar who is flying!

Saw a black horsehead jersey with Tkachuk on it.
Definitely a jersey foul... But it honestly looked great.
