Tough game from the flames. Not sharp at all. Looked slow and lost a lot of battles they shouldn’t be. But at the end of the day a win is a win. Need to be much better though and I’m confident Peters will get them going again.
Rittich and Janko were really solid tonight. Liked Andersson's game as well. Johnny was good as usual and Gio just continues to be a beast. Nice to see some secondary scoring.
Thought Hanifin had a really rough game. One of his worst that I’ve seen so far. Monahan too had a tough night. Just not his usual self.

I think this home stand will do wonders. Sleep in their own beds, get some rest, put in some practice time. This 5 game home stand really couldn't come at a better time. They'll be better as the next few days go along.

this so much. They need a practice day or two.

I watched the game and I still don't quite understand what has gotten McKinnon so riled up. Were there any clues as to why he lashed out at Bednar (other than just frustration with losing a game)?

Can't blame MacKinnon for being frustrated. They have 2 of the top 3 scorers in the league and have lost 8 of their last 9 he's got to be wondering what he needs to do to win. Probably has been building up for a while and he finally let it out tonight

Janko is quietly putting together a very solid season. He's on pace for 36 points over an 82 game season. Very solid for a guy playing almost exclusively in the bottom 6 of a team with lots of depth.
Bennett is on a similar pace. If both players can get up to a consistent .5 PPG pace, Calgary will have a very deep team.

In Gios case, I think it’s a pretty damn good reflection of his play.

This is their problem, that is ALL they have. 2 players don't win you many games.

First line is all they got, goalies aren't good right now. Recipe for failure.

Hard to believe Brodie was -16 in each of the last two seasons. +26 this year.

They have the top scoring line in the league. The Oilers even win sometimes with one player. So would have to say you're wrong there

Oh sh*t. I remembered last year. Uugh. Rememeber when GG accused the 17-18 Flames of playing "too cute" in front of the home C of Red crowd.

I would love it if he developed into a Colin Patterson-type player. I've seen quite a few similarities this season. It would be amazing if he could become the next Backlund for this team!

He is now on the PP2, which in its new form can hopefully turn it around. Janko has lots of opportunity to shine and gain some points there too.
