Burke giving Sigalet credit for turning Smith around, that should be a popular opinion.

I just expect better from a guy who is allegedly an elite goalie...

I have yet to see anything elite about him aside from his outlet passes

You might be the only guy in the world that could blame that on the goaltender.

Smith made some good stops that period. He is not letting the team down so far this game at all. That was a deflating sort of goal, but it was also a good tip. He seems focused and very competitive this game. I expect and hope he'll have a big game the rest of the way. The team will probably need that to come away with the win.

Lindholm Flames MVP according to Burkie.

And I think he has a good take on the Flames and their "Contender" status. Need more EXP.

Personally, I'd like to see how they fare with the depth tests like tonight and tomorrow. The greatest barometer for a deep run team is how do the spare parts fit in when the main guys get hurt.

This coming week is gonna be a huge tell for us and how hard we can push towards a cup.

You know, as soon as Smith let that goal in, I said to myself, oh crap, people on CP gonna pile on him again. Sure enough, at least one did.

Smith has given up 7 goals in his last 5 games...so serious run support is 2 goals a game now?

Jeeeze, first in Pacific, best start in the past quarter century, buzzing with confidence and doing all they can to win every game, and such negativity from some still. Mind blowing.

Some people will debate the sky is purple if there's nothing else to argue about

It's quite irritating to read people crapping all over certain players the first chance they get.

Holy geez, Smith had a rough go for a time, but he has won 5 straight and just came off a shut out.

He's been fine. You're supposed be cheering for these players....

Does Sigalet have compromising pictures of Burke and Treliving or is he just better than we think?

The negativity in this thread must be from the Russians. After a controversial election, they must be back at it, meddling with Flames hockey forums.
