First game I've been down to watch in ages and other than the huge idiot (flames fan) sitting in front of me ripping Bennett, Johnny and Brodie, it was great to see them look the better team by a long shot.

Tkachuk is a special player and a joy to watch.

Can anyone in their right mind say the same thing about this team last season? Massive....MASSIVE turn around and early on in the season.
Last year team, I can pretty much turn off the TV after the Hawks went ahead 2:1.

I've always hated this . Why not leave it simply Movember . Then you can have Decembeard?

I always thought No Shave November came first, before the Movember trend. I could be wrong, though.

No but I did give him a telling off for standing up during play.

Some people just revel in being overly negative. Fortunately, he won't feel particularly good tomorrow morning.

as far back as I can recall it's always been Movember. But I prefer Novembeard myself. I hate growing just a mustache. Even in honor of Mens health.

I didn't think the Flames were playing particularly well for the first two periods. That's very telling as I also thought that they were pushing the majority of play in those periods. Losing Keith right away definitely made it more difficult for Chicago, but they just don't 'have it' any longer. At least not this game.

I thought the Flames were playing half-assed for periods of time and were guilty of really sloppy play. Bunch of missed passes, bobbled pucks, and the team looked fairly slow. I still thought Chicago was lucky to be ahead of the Flames. Are the Flames that good now? Are the Hawks that poor? Maybe a bit of both.

There is always a bit of score-effects happening when a team is behind and trying to tie it up, but that third period was another brutally dominant period. Hawks couldn't match the skating and intensity that the Flames brought. Not even close.

If the Flames started strong, this might have been a blowout. I felt that the Flames didn't take enough advantage of the Hawks being down one defencemen, but it didn't matter.

It is nice to really out-class the Hawks after their 3 cups, after having them beat the Flames in the first round of the playoffs to start what would be a fairly long play drought, and also that embarrassing comeback win years ago...

Movember was started in 2003

No shave November was started in 2007.

Flames play against the Ducks on Wednesday.

They’ve gotten the Habs, Hawks, Sabres, Rangers, Avs.

Must be nice having a soft schedule.
Here's a good nugget before Gaskal posts the rest.

What delusional world are they living in? They've had a butter soft schedule as well.

Seems Ive been wrong all these years the 2 have different purposes.

Movember - straight foreward

No shave November is no about jus5 facial hair. The mean all head hair. The goal is to appreciate your head of hair as Cancer patients rarely get to enjoy a full head of hair.....

He said he thought he was fine. Laughing and smiling. Seemed like more of a precaution to keep him out.

Once again the Flames were not the luckiest team (until the end) but the better team.

I’ve been more entertained in the last week of flames hockey then all of last year. Flames were pushing so hard for that tying goal, what a team effort.

If the Flames can find a real #1 goaltender, they could be a true contender

That's some nice cherry picking, especially since the Flames softened up a few of their opponents for them the night before. Can't wait for the stars to not align for that massive turd of a team.

“Must be nice having a soft schedule”

The Flames have played the hardest schedule in the league so far.
