While being an effective 4th liner. Good game by him, now we can get Jankowski back in.
You don't play Rinaldo when your team is losing. That's why he was only out there for 5 minutes, and that's why he didn't do anything tonight. He wasn't out there long enough to try anything. He's probably crazy enough to make a dirty play even if Peluso is on the ice at the same time. Guys like him don't care and they'll do dirty stuff no matter what you throw out there.

I cannot understand this obsession with dressing a goon. I don't hate Peluso or anything he did tonight, but if you're asking me who I want to dress on a regular basis going forward, Peluso or Jankowski, I'm taking Jankowski, and it's not even close.

And there are layers of colloquial meanings of the word that are ignorant and disrespectful. You can’t ignore that. I don’t think that I get offended by many things, but at least I do know that throwing a word like ‘######ed’ around in that way is not OK. Even Michael Scott clued in a decade ago.

Anyways sorry for elaborating on an off-topic conversation. I was hoping my one-word answer would have been sufficient before, because I’m really just here to enjoy the Flames win.
Great, you work in that field, I respect that. You are taking the word out of context though, the poster did not say an individual was that word he used it in its other meaning which should offend nobody. Or are you claiming your views negates the definition of the word according to every dictionary on the planet. There are so many words that can be seen as offensive in one context and not as another. Anyhow we are off topic.

Obviously Peluso was the reason they won, just like he was the reason they won on Saturday. It is not just correlation that he was in the lineup for the same game that they won.

Statement win for sure. Playoff picture becoming more clear now.

I am looking forward to the next power ranking. With two wins in a row, the flames should be t5 easy.

I am actually so happy that the team I cheer for is not stuck in the middle of their cup window and relying on Ryan Johansen to be their #1C

I #### on Monahan a lot but he's completely on another level than Ryjo.

A lot of offensive weapons on this team.

Really refreshing to go from 3 offensive weapons last year (Gaudreau, Monahan and Tkachuk) to 5 (Gaudreau, Monahan, Lindholm, Tkachuk and Neal) plus soooo much speed with Dube and Czarnik. No more Brouwer and Stajan lumbering around the ice producing nothing.

I like them over everyone in the Pacific except the Sharks (they have played better than their record and they smoked Philly tonight). And the Preds are good and Calgary handled them nicely.

I like our depth up front better than the Sharks.

Came for Peluso arguments and offensive English language debate.

Leaving satisfied.

Wait no I didn’t, I came here to bask in a glorious victory.

What a difference the new coaching staff is making. Well prepared and smart in game adjustments.

They get the puck and go. No more of this E-W passing back and forth just because. D men put it off the glass when in trouble and forwards dump and chase when appropriate.

I knew Lindholm was good before this year, but I didn't realize just how good. He is putting up points, makes good defensive plays and grinds it out along the boards. Perfect fit for that line.

Its other meaning can't apply to a ref's call, unless you mean the ref was too slow at blowing the whistle, since the word means "slowed down" or "impeded".

They are certainly younger and probably faster. I guess it depends on whether Thornton holds up.

I don't the word means what you think it means. You might want to actually look it up. Anyhow I am done with this discussion.

Flames were leading in shots 7-5 when Johnny and Lindholm connected for a beautiful goal.

50 seconds of playing time later it's still 7-5 in shots....

Ugh. No, if he thought it would've helped, he'd have done it anyways.

Two things from me:

1) This team scores most effectively off the rush while using their speed. Gulutzan never got that. The Flames' D can both skate well and make solid passes. Gulutzan's system slowed everything down. Aside from being boring as heck to watch, it wasn't as effective at generating offence. Much more entertaining. Much more dangerous.

2) Flames didn't win this BECAUSE of Peluso in the lineup. However, that's two wins in a row with either Prout or Peluso in the lineup. What does this show? That neither of these players will hurt you. Flames should 100% play either one of them when they feel they need added toughness to match-up against certain teams. We just beat one of the better teams in the NHL at home with Peluso - maybe he gives the team a boost and allows them to have a bit more swagger, which helps them play their game out there. Maybe he had absolutely nothing at all to do with it. Point is he played well (on the forecheck, and in limited minutes), did his job, didn't take a bad penalty, didn't hurt his team offensively, didn't kill any positive momentum at all - Flames won. Let's remember that next time either one of them are inserted (and against Edmonton, it will probably be both).
