And yeah, the Flames were a novelty in 2004 for the rest of the country, as it had been so long since a Canadian team in the final. Flames flag under the Canadian flag at the Embassy in Washington. An Edmonton radio station had a “burn your Flames gear” gathering a couple days after.

Go Knights. Sooner each and every other Canadian team in out of the playoffs, th less annoying the media is in coverage, or people happy for a team because they are based in a Canadian city. Logic doesn’t work for Edmonton, Vancouver Toronto etc, doesn’t work for Winnipeg either.
