Yeah I thought the Blues could have been called for a few infractions but it seems the officials are more fixated on the Flames infractions like last game.

Lack looked all right in the opening period cheated a little on the goal but pretty decent over all. I wasn't sure what to expect.

And get who? Would you rather have Duchene?

Stone hooked trying to clear the puck at the end there, Hamonic and Monahan both spilled away from the puck, and Gaudreau grabbed while wheeling around with the puck in the offensive zone.

Seems like the refs still have it in for the Flames, something we will just have to play through and make us stronger.

Guy was trying to get a piggie back ride on Johnny there, guys have been all over his back all season. Rarely gets called

Also thought Tkachuk was cross checked before the goal

awesome period so far minus a really bad series by hamonic - not only gave it away there, but also made no attempt to stop the pass/dump in the corner, which lead to brodie having to take that player, which left a man free out front for the goal. and then he gives him a shot. yikes

really loving how good the flames look. clean up a few areas and they're a really scary team

It's still debatable whether those kids were ready for full time duty.

And even so,

If any of Andersson, Kylington or Fox pan out then you can trade Hamonic or Stone for some help up front.

I hate this writing off players after a gaff, so knee-jerky and short sighted. Having an excess of assets on D gives them options later. They're proving to be fine up front when they're playing their game.

Hamonic also had his stick slashed which could have contributed to his turnover.

Refs still hate the Flames.

Would Jagr be on this trip for team moral/bonding or stay in Calgary?

I'd be curious to know if the Flames have had just 1 period of hockey this season where they have had more powerplays than the opposition.

He also held the blues player’s stick. Goes both ways. I’d prefer they call it all.

Definitely seems like it, don't wanna be a homer but it still feels like last year with Wideman.

It's pretty baloney that they're only calling the odd hack/grab on Johnny still. He's not diving/selling them this year so with the change in "standard" there's no excuse..

I think he's good, that was his worst gaf of the season. I think he's been steady but not amazing. Time will tell if he's worth the price

I've never seen that McDavid commercial before but that was so horrible I don't even know where to begin...

Scott Morrison can act in horror movies without any make-up. Giving me creeps when he smiles...

I’ve had this same concern since the day the trade was made. I actually like Hamonic and think his grit + skating ability is a rare ability that is a hot commodity in the current NHL.

I just see a pattern developing this season where the Flames hold a lot of possession in a period and it doesn’t seem to turn into goals due to a potential lack of finishing ability in our top 6.
