That would be an interesting policy, I remember something about having one of those 'War Amps' tags on your keys you can throw them in any mailbox and they'll be returned.

Found a cell phone on a bench outside of McDonalds this afternoon. Was able to track the owner down and got a $50 reward.

I found a wallet on the road years ago. Opened it up and found the address. I was just down the street. I went over and rang the doorbell. Guy answers. "Hey. I found your wallet" says me. Not a word from him. He grabs it and starts going through it. Not even a "thank you". "What an A55H013..." thought me.

So I pick option F if I was in the same situation with the same guy. Keep the money. Put a curse on the contents. Leave it with some criminal who will charge up all of the credit cards.
