We should be used to it by now no?

They were gifted their first dynasty and now they were chain rewarded for gross incompetency. We can cling to how we rebuilt "the right way" but in the end it doesn't matter. There's no wins awarded in the playoffs based on how you rebuilt, so I'm sure we'll just continue on the historic path of this franchise of brutal underachievement while they get to enjoy a generational talent.

But at least we didn't tank!

Come on Ducks! I become optimistic when I remember they came back from 3 goals against Calgary but am then pessimistic when I remember high stick goals counted that game.

I hate the oil and am actively cheering for the ducks in this game but I can't help but chuckle when that weasel Perry didn't get a call and wound up out of position doing his best to sell that call. Sometimes your own bs comes home to roost

It's crazy to me how different the Ducks look playing the Oilers compared to when they play the Flames

If Elliott played like Talbot the Flames would be the ones doing the sweeping.

Skill up front vs skill on the backend.

Gifted the first dynasty? Superior drafting for starters.

If so, great analysis.

So Flames..........down 3-0 and the Ducks aren't just firing it on net looking for ugly goals. Seen this movie a few times.

Please explain.

Superior drafting and development is all Flames in the last decade.

I think he meant the first dynasty was mostly due to good drafting. Wasn't comparing to the Flames.

Considering Wayne was never even drafted in the NHL...Oilers were ####ing lucky the NHL allowed WHA teams to bring over two players

I think the Ducks might lose this game. Just a hunch.

Oilers skill largely up front, Calgary's skill largely on defense. Easier for the ducks to extinguish Calgary's offense 5-5 than the oilers.

Also, there is no accounting for Talbot. Talbot be Talbot, but the ducks have the territorial advantage for all that's worth in a 3-0 game.

Been thinking a lot about goaltending since the flames ouster. Starting to think if you don't have it, don't bother with the rest of it.

Getzlaf is by far the best player in the playoffs.
