Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
How about that 3M line tonight. All less than 15% offensive starts, all over 60% in 5v5 shot rate. Another sparkling night. #Flames

I really wonder what it'll take to get Saros from Nashville. Any time I watch this kid he impresses me.

They seem to be in love with Rinne for some odd reason.

Apologies if it was mentioned by someone, but I noticed in OT as the Flames are cycling they seemed to try and get a Predator to chase the puck carrier to open up a passing play. After a few passes and lots of movement with no Predators budging, you can hear a Flame from the bench yell "THEY'RE PLAYING ZONE!"

Cut to the Flames going down low from both sides looking for a scoring option. Looked like the Flames were able to victimize the Preds based on their defensive strategy.

Out of thanks.

After watching the OT, that's good analysis

Loved that Bennett fight! Great things to come.

17min from a 3rd pair dman, when was the last time a 3rd pair guy not named Engelland pulled that off?

Lots to like in a game where the Flames blew a 3 goal lead.

On the down side, no lead seams safe lately.

On the upside, the FIND-A-WAY-FLAMES appear to be back!

Not enough has been said about Elliott's huge saves in the dying minutes of the third.

And people in the 2nd intermission were complaining he can't deliver a big save when needed.

I am not a Burke fan and really don't understand what he does but those comments on the radio were a good example of the guy doing something helpful and maybe protect some of his players. Don't know if it matters much and I usually ignore public comments by these guys but I thought it was a good touch.

I have seen that more than a few times this season. Not sure if this is some new sort of game management by the officials but when you drop the gloves and land punches it is supposed to be fighting majors not roughing.

The Flames (and other teams) have been doing it all year. It looks weird, but I stopped worrying about it because it has generally been working.

Pretty sure it would take a lot, they seem to be pretty high on Saros also (Which they should) but Rinne has that contract, can't let him sit.

I was surprised by that as well. Ferland popped him right in the chin and Watson got up looking for more, I fully expected both to get 5.

Not good that they gave up the lead but a lot of character shown to come back and win the game. Hopefully they take this momentum forward and bury the lightning.

They officiated the game last night as if it were a playoff game. I liked it.

Makes you wonder what they will do around the expansion draft. Rinne has a NMC with a couple more years left. Saros has one year left on his entry level deal. As of right now, it looks like he could be exposed. Depending on what happens with some other teams around the league and their goalie situations; Saros could be a nice pick up for Vegas.

Loved the Bennett fight!

3M line was killer again but once again it seems like they're the only line that can really succeed playing in Gulutzans system consistently.

Monahan and Gaudreau got points but it didn't feel like a break out game for either of them. If they can follow this up with a game where they take over I think the Flames will be in great shape.

Elliot was getting way too much flack in the GT. He was great. None of the goals were really his fault and he made some unreal stops.

That was a roller coaster of emotions.

I thought they played well. Agree with your impression of Gaudreau, but you can't complain about 4 points. Must be doing something right, even if they are second assists. And to me, Monahan stood out as a little more involved than usual, and of course him being the only guy who can win a faceoff is important.
