Actually seems like he's being paid to play in the AHL.
He knows he's getting exposed in a couple of months time, and that he, like McCollom (sp?) are not in the long or even short term plans of the franchise.
He's going to make a lot more money to finish the next two seasons than he was before he signed, so its a win-win. Flames get someone to expose, and borderline NHLer Bartkowski gets a guaranteed pay check for the next year.

Anybody else catch the segment this morning with them asking Warrener if he was called to use his number?
Lol. This mornings show has to be the best one I've heard in a while.

But it's illegal, thanks to a little law called COPPA (the Canadian equivalent is PIPEDA). It's why the rules of this forum prohibit users under the age of thirteen from registering, because it is illegal for private-sector organizations to collect their personal info.
And no, I am not thirteen. Not even close. But why do people care? And why are, like, a significant portion of your recent posts replies to my posts?

Isn't he supposedly dressing for the next game? Looks to me like the Flames think he can play in the NHL, no? The goalie is different IMO, he's not getting near the NHL roster.

Probably because teenagers are dumb, and constantly need to be told.

Bartkowski skating on the third pairing with Wideman today. Sure does look like he’ll be in tomorrow. #Flames

And our next game is against the Canucks who will have the last line change. I can totally see coach Willie D exploiting that pairing, already being well-versed with Bartkowski's shortcomings.

Nah, Willie D rolls four lines all the time. It's actually one of his shortcomings that Gulutzan should be looking to exploit. Hartley was good at it.

This must be some type of psychological warfare to invoke a bit more complacency into the Canucks game. Make them think that they'll have 15 minutes of easy getting and maybe they'll forget that they have 45 minutes that they might need to play.

The opposing coach with last change wasn't going to try and exploit our 3rd pairing before we put Bartkowski on it?

Is this guy honestly going to be a sure fire step up compared to options we already had? Tre and GG better be sure on this or its looking rather silly on them both.

He's essentially needs to be better then Kevin, Kulak or Wotherspoon to stick. I don't think he's surefire at all, but those three haven't exactly set the bar that high, nor have the set the bar high enough that it isn't worth "seeing" if Bart can be better.
If he's not, this move still meets our news to become compliant with the expansion draft requirements.

The main point of bringing him on was for expansion purposes. But as far as on ice play goes, Jokipakka been a sore disappointment for me this year and Kulak in my eyes isn't anything special. So bringing in Bartkowski isn't a bad idea by any stretch. Yeah he sucked in Van but Van sucks over all. So I'll hold judgement until he gets a few games under his belt in Calgary.

Well this went from 'meh' to 'WTF?!?!?!?!?!' pretty quickly for me.
Figured he'd be a part of the Wideman replacement strategy, but now we have to put up with him AND Wideman? This is going to be a turdshow
