That is on Wideman. Didn't love how Brodie played the 2 on 1 though. Way passive and it basically was a 2 on zero at the end.

The most apt description of the phenomenon of Wideman that I've read in some time. Bravo.

Plus giving him WAY more ice time than Dougie

So new NHL rule is that you can run the goalie as long as the puck ends up in the net. No penalty will be assessed because theyre too busy disallowing the goal.

watch it again, starting with Wideman taking his time and then firing a shot into Zucker's(?) shin pad.

All I want is a top 4 D-man

Someone has to eat the minutes and I guess they've decided Wideman is the solution.

Not quite. The Monahan line had a pretty solid shift right after the goal and just about scored.

Both are entirely true. The play started that way, but Brodie got sucked by the dangle and took neither the shot nor the pass.

Someone needs to go after Parise, he's really using his stick tonight.

Yeah Wideman was bad there but Brodie wasn't much better.

Granlund goes right around him and Brodie leaves the passing lane wide open, needs to make a better effort to do anything there.

If not for Wideman, there wouldn't have been a 2 on 1

The forward made a nice play to get the puck around Brodie. Sometimes guys make nice plays.

Criticizing Brodie there is clueless

Sure Brodie played it badly but the entire sequence should never have even happened. Idiotic play by an awful player who somehow miraculously continues to get ice time.

I've had an unhealthy dislike for Parise since he entered the league which is weird since we never really saw him when he was in NJ. Probably has to do with him ignoring his heritage and pronouncing his name like he's Italian and not French.

Mistakes happen, that's why there are systems.

If the roles were reversed Wideman would still be taking most of the blame.

Both of them ####ed up because both of them have been terrible this season.

Why is that so tough?
