Ovechkin finally one a 'championship' so I'm happy for him.

The money prize is absolutely necessary, but I think they should avoid referencing it SO much.

Presenting millionaires with a giant million dollar cheque for an afternoon of moderate effort is not the best way to end the weekend.

Have them allocate it to a charity or something

Would like to see that cheque donated to a worthy charity - refugee relief?

Why? It's their money, let them spend it the way they want.

After tax the money means nothing to them. Just my own opinion. Am sure these guys are very charitable to begin with.

Gaudreau is the best 3 on 3 player in the league. I don't think he needs advice on how to play 3 on 3. Horvat wouldn't step away from coverage all day. He kept staying in the blocking lane of the defenders instead of stepping back a bit to clear up a passing lane.

Didn't one of them give it all to the equipment manager or something?

I think that's two years in a row where JG has likely been the best player in the ASG. neither by a huge margin. Had the Pacific won this one, he probably gets MVP.

Daniel Sedin gave his share (about $100K IIRC) to the Canucks' training staff.

Clearly Johhny hasn't seen me in 3 on 3 action in my Beer league.....
