Did young, promising forwards who were putting up great numbers magically forget how to play in the offensive zone? It's not like we're sacrificing offence for better defence either. This team is worse in all zones.

I don't care that it went in. It was a perfect shot and no goaltender could have stopped it.

His positioning though, FML. Angles his body down and away from the puck... puts his blocker in front of his pad. About the only way he could make himself smaller to Tavares were if he turtled on the ice.

Looking at that photo, would you ever guess, judging by Elliott's positioning, that the puck went over his right shoulder?

Our offence system is dump and chase. If we get lucky enough to retain possession play it to the point. Take low scoring chance shot from the point. Give up possession. Rinse and repeat.

It has sucked the creativity out of this line up.
