I know I do.
If the powerplay featured three guys standing in front of the net trying to screen at the same time I'd be all over the coaching staff for having a ridiculous system.
Nobody coaches to turn over the puck. Nobody coaches to take stupid penalties.
Skill players aren't making skilled plays, and those said skill plays are the part of the game that isn't coached, it's feel, read and guts.

Here's the thing that I've observed... There mostly one side that is putting the majority of the blame on the coaching staff and another that's pointing to the players.
In reality, it's somewhere in the middle.
To your point, agreed, coaches aren't telling the players to turn over the puck, but on the other hand, these are pro hockey players who didn't forget how to play. Brodie didn't suddenly forget how to play the way we've seen him.
The coaching staff needs to answer - burying our heads in the sand and screaming continuously that the players aren't executing is being too biased to one side.
But I also posted earlier, that the Flames needed their young, future leaders to take a step forward this season. None of Gaudreau, Monahan, Brodie, Bennett or Hamilton have done this and they too need to be accountable for the teams lack of success this year.
Execution is partly the job of the players but also partly the job of the coaches. The coaches must ENABLE them to execute and that is the job of the coaches.
