As I sit here tonight replaying that boring, painful loss over and over again in my head I can't help but think that this is exactly how Oilers fans must've felt. I am trying so desperately not to panic but I just can't shake the thought that Glenn Gulutzan is our Dallas Eakins. It upsets me to no end that we passed on an established winner like Bruce Boudreau simply because we didn't want to rush things and we wanted to give the "process" it's due. Sometimes there is no time for process.

I don't think our team speed is very good. There was talk about how fast we were last couple seasons but I think it had more to do with our transition because of the stretch passes. Now we're being exposed.

I'm ready to try a new forward other than Versteeg.

Bruce has coached some pretty damn good rosters...might have something to do with his record

I would stick Bennett in Stockton for a few weeks. Give him a kick in the bag to get his #### together.

That is certainly true, but I'll tell you what. This damn roster is a lot better than the team that has showed up for the last five games.

When Gulutzan's name kept coming up this summer during the coaching search, my main thought was, "for sure it's not gonna be that guy." Now that it is that guy...I pray that he gets it together or else we could be looking at the 2017 NHL draft with a hell of a lot of interest pretty quickly.

I was thinking the exact same thing. He is still in the organization somewhere, correct?

I was thinking the same thing. No way does Treliving have the balls to do so.

It is wishful thinking but there is no way Treliving does this.

It's not working. Quite honestly this team has 2 top 6 forwards. Then bunch of 3rd/4th liners.

Bennett's C experiment should be over. Also team speed is non-existent.

On defence Hamilton has been awful. There are no options on D.

The only players that I can say are playing beyond expectedly bad are Gaudreau, Monahan, Brodie and Elliot. Everyone else is playing within the range of what could be expected of them this season. I know that I included Gio in there but he is 33 and the game is only getting quicker, you all know were betting against heavy odds with that contract.

Deryk is one of the few bright spots. He seems to be Flurishing under the new system . Him and Kulak are the only d pairings that have there #### together.

80 plus % of this board have said so . He is playing well and setting the tone not to #### with our young stars.
The only negative about him here is the same as always that he is over payed but does his job well.
