Bro, are you seriously not understanding me?
I'm saying the Catholic church says x, y, z about sexuality, and those rules are really clear. Most Catholics do not believe what the church says about sexuality.

Just because you say that doesn't make it true. This is what you said.
"In fact, I would venture to say that a majority of Europeans still subscribe and believe in Christianity, except for the sexuality part of Christianity."
Still waiting on your source for Christians are allowed to have sex before marriage rules also from the church.

I am curious as to the undeniable "Christian" view on sexuality.

I have no idea what you're talking about.
He said most western europeans still subscribe to a christian ethos but reject their views on sexuality (like sex before marraige, gay marriage etc...)

@ calgaryblood
I'm not sure if it's me or you, but you are not getting my point. So I'm just gonna stop.

I think the best path forward is to continue to liberalize our society and place pressure, as has long been happening, for the religions to reform and adjust interpretations of the clearly outdated, dangerous and discriminatory doctrines in their texts to become more modern and benign.
Some religions, religious institutions and religious societies are further ahead than others in this regard. Empower reformers and moderates and contain fundamentalism and extremism.
Banning religious garb is a relatively superficial distraction from the more important tasks at hand.

believe me, nothing someome says who doesn't support gay marriage, like yourself, could upset me so say what you want.
You're the perfect example of how a Christian doesn't believe in Western values of freedom.

Hah. I have said multiple times that I support it, but I can see a reasonable case being made against gay marriage that isn't homophobic.

Christianity is a religion of freedom, and the long road required to focus that freedom on goodness and godliness.
Sexuality was historically treated as the easiest, and most forgivable shortfall.

Really, you have? Ok well I can pull up several quotes of yours that say you don't so if you want to play that game.

Please, lay that out for us. I'd be interested in the "reasonable" part.
