Back and forth we go as both teams score power play goals in the second period. Ward ties the game on Shattenkirk's roughing penalty and then Fabbri scores on Jaskin's roughing minor. Jaskin took a bad penalty and Jones should have stopped that shot, 3-2 Blues now.

Pavelski scores another power play goal for the Sharks with 87 seconds left in the second period and it is 3-3 after forty minutes. The Sharks led 8-5 in shots in the period and 18-14 over two periods.

Pavelski has been a beast this postseason. He has to be the frontrunner for the Conn Smythe if the Sharks can finish off this series.

I would say he's tops for the Conn Smythe 21 points and its not even the Stanley cup finals yet

The Blues flat out quit there. Everyone standing around not doing anything. They deserve to lose this one.

Tierney has been impressive all post-season. He's a great bottom-6er.

Happy to see the Blues lose. Their fans are utter whiner garbage and their hockey team is full of scumbags. Hopefully the Sharks finish them off in game 6.

That would have been a pathetic empty net stand during game 41. To bring that effort to that moment of game 5 of the conference finals is a Bouwmeestering of the highest order

Does the handling of the goalie situation improve the chances of the Flames acquiring Elliot this off season?

I expect this has been said a number of times already, but good to know essentially all the Sharks had to do to finally start having some success was to get rid of a mediocre coach.

No reaction from Marleau.

I'd imagine this is a least partially flippant, but it was more than getting rid of McLellan.

They picked up Jones, who has been an upgrade on Neimi(lol Dallas). The signings of Ward, Martin and Donskoi have all helped massively, as has the additions of Polak and Spaling.

Yes, its clear that switching coaches has really helped them, but they did improve the roster last summer.

@jprutherford
Elliott will be in net

Hitch says fatigue was a factor with Elliott and a few days off have done him well.

@lkorac10
Elliott in goal tomorrow.
