Dallas has owned, like really owned the Hawks this year. If they get by Minny, that pick from the Russell trade will be a 1st.

Playoffs hockey is a different animal...just ask Hitch, and the Blues...even the Refs seem to call a different game...I don't expect a run and gun, high scoring style, to be able to be maintained.
I just question Dallas' ability to defend against a team that can have up to 7 games to exploit a defensive weakness.
For my guys...Q has rolled 4 Dmen, in playoffs before...In Chicago, the hope, is that TVR can hang with Hjammer, Keith and Seabs. Shortening our D, IMO, will cover a MAJOR defensive liability, Rozival...I hope Q, finally, sees the same.

One thing I'll point out though is that in the history of the NHL it is quite easy to find left shooting wingers who are successful at RW. Smart players generally make the transition easily and if a player has a good shot then the off wing can actually give you better shooting angles. In recent times Hudler, Colborne and Frolik are left shooting guys who play RW just fine. Even Ferland looks fine to me as a left shooting RW. Poirier in fact is a left shooting LW/RW as well. So I don't think we'd have a problem moving one or two of Gaudreau, Ferland, Dubois/Tkachuk, Shinkaruk, etc to RW to make it work if we don't get a right shooter. Often wingers swap sides during play and which wing they are on means nothing more than which side they line up at for the face-offs and which d-men they are responsible for covering in their own zone.
I'd say we need wingers who combine size, strength and skill more than we specifically need RWers. Everytime we play ANA and LA it looks like boys vs men in terms of our forwards matching up against theirs.
But I know our stance on this does differ

Nurse scored to tie it at 1-1 in the train wreck/trailer trash park game.

I didn't know Ehlers has 15 goals even with all his missed time. Awesome.

Holy frickin' splits by Quick. Both legs at 180 degrees along the goal line.

It would be cool if Holtby got the nod tomorrow for a chance at history. 49 wins would be soemthing special to witness.
