Unfortunately while playing the Division tonight, at times I was a victim of terrible shuttering frame rate. I hear it's a major issue among many console players of both Xbone & PS4. I really hope it's fixed soon since the game is basically unplayable when you're effected.
The lag was horrible last night and I was on pc. Had to finally give up.
I like the fact that we get more loot, but the rng gods are horrible. Out of 10 set pieces I've received over last couple days, 8 were Banshee Shadow with horrible stats. But, it is nice to get set drops from npc's in the open world.
I've been enjoying the update so far, nice to be able to get good gear and not get owned in the DZ, had a few occasions where we saw a few solo players and instead of jumping us with their shotgun builds and owning me and my 3 buddies, they ran realizing they'd get destroyed if they took us on.
Had the frame rate/lag issue a few times and it's frustrating as all hell, seems if you got the dashboard (xbox one) and come back in it'll clear up a bit.
Survival is a blast, the pvp sucks since all people do is run around at the start with their pistols in a small group to kill everyone else.
You really need to be geared up for the DZ in survival, take your time getting there as long as you are getting the medicine to increase your time to do the mission.

Downloading the game again after not touching it since release. How is it these days?
I have played an absolute ton of The Division.
The recent updates have made the grind of the game a little more tolerable. You get some decent equipment and weapons drops now. The new Survival mode is pretty cool and is more like what the game should have been from launch.
My biggest issue with the game is their servers are atrocious. I downloaded Survival when it was released and for a week straight every time I tried to play I was either kicked off the server within minutes, or was never able to connect and kept getting error messages.
I have not played since due to the terrible servers. This was on PS4 by the way.
Thanks. I started a new character and am already level 10. You're right, it definitely doesn't feel as grindy this time around. I was planning on trying Survival out once I play a bit more, sounds pretty cool
I do really enjoy the game but I haven't found myself wanting to play it since it seems every couple of months there redesigning the game forcing me to start again from scratch.........

You're right it does look fun but no I have yet to play that mode. Every time I put in the Division disc, I end up playing something else already downloaded like This War of Mine or South Park, lol

Well I tried the Survival mode and wasn't very impressed, the cinematic cut scene are cool but this mode doesn't really help advance your main character so there's really no benefit from the mode itself which made me lose interest even more. If more people on my friend list were still playing the Division maybe but now I think its all really just too little too late. Tonight I traded in my copy of the Division at EB games, I picked up Doom and also pre-ordered Sniper Elite 4 which gets released February 14th

I was looking more at For Honor (since I found some cool game play videos I may start it's own thread) although today I was told about some pretty good aspects for Ghost Recon. Even though I'm really looking forward to Sniper Elite 4, I consider that more of a stealth game which happens to allow you to kill enemies from far distances with your cool sniper rifle, lol. Still I'm feeling it would be nice to change it up and take a break from the war/gun genre and into the kickass world of Knights, Vikings and head chopping sword play so I'm hoping for the best with For Honor and that its not a button smasher.

I gave up on it after a few weeks despite thinking it was quite cool (Destiny was eating most of my time when Division launched), but as an aside, I was in Manhattan for the first time recently and was amazed at how accurately they recreated the city. Was cool to see Chelsea, Midtown, and Times Square in person!

Really? All the gear I have gotten from survival has been used on my main character. Actually, I get tons of gear from survival making it easier to min/max my character. All the gear I have gotten has pretty much made me stronger.
Curious as to how you found it didn't progress your character
