Besides the obvious barf worthy media circle jerk around McJesus, I was especially disappointed when young Fabbri scored his first NHL goal. First thing the PBP guy yells is CONNOR McDAVID's childhood friend scores his first NHL goal!!!!

Like wtf? And they didn't show the kid's parents until a good 10 minutes after his goal.

The PBP guy was more excited for McDavid's first NHL shot than this kid's goal; and it happened to be a nice goal too.

It doesn't sound like Lehner will be back any time soon according to Blysma. That could be a place the Flames could try to unload a goalie. Hopefully Ramo.

This circus style hype machine is terribly done by the media. And in this day and age it is far too accessible and unavoidable in day to day life to avoid. You kind of have to feel bad for McDavid right now.
I feel bad for him.

The thing is, the Oilers should be protecting him and trying to minimize the circus.

But do they? No, they fan it. They jack up the hype to the red line, and sell the sizzle all the time.

Gene Principe should be charged with harassment.

It is becoming a travesty.

I really do feel bad for the kid

Starts at the top. When Katz had his Bachelor/final rose speech thingy at the draft you knew things were going to be way over the top. And it hasn't stopped.

Going to a Canadian market can be enough pressure for a good young hockey player, having a fanboy creepy owner like Katz just makes things worse.

This Avs/Wild game is crazy, chances everywhere. The Avs look horrible in their own end.

Fun as heck to watch, though. And it's nice to hear Cuthbert call a game again.

Anti Niemi played well in net and was terrific as a playmaker, he had two assists in the Stars 3-0 victory.

Patrick Roy has to have permanent nightmares of the Wild. He loses to that team twice in OT of game 7 in a playoff series as a goalie and then as a coach. Now, a bizarre 3rd period comeback by the Wild after being down 4-1. That's nuts! After 13 tries, the Jets finally win in Boston by pounding them 6-2. The stupid Oilers lose and so do the Sabres. These rookies are going to have a long season. the Stars win 3-0 and Niemi gets the SHUTOUT stopping 37 shots. He is the 1st NHL goalie to have a shutout and 2 assists in the same game. The Predators win a close game 2-1 in reg time over the Hurricanes. Tampa Bay wins 3-2 over Philly in an OT thriller. Garrison with the GWG.

Wow, I thought that game was over last night and didn't even look to see what the final result was. Just watched the highlights, Roy looked so pissed. There was definitely some Oilersesque defense out there last night by those Avs D.

That was an awesome come back, so many goals in such a short amount of time. I wonder if the Avs miss the playoffs again because of poor D.

I think the Wild will be good this year, watch them run with it in the Central.

If you watch though, the forwards are Oileresque too. Looping seeing looking for home run passes
