Third time in 4 years the Capitals have lost to the Rangers in game 7.

Would have preferred the Caps winning if we didn't have their 2nd and 3rd rounders.

This result is better for the Flames, and in the end the end that's all I give a **** about.

Real bummer the Caps are in some sort of game 7 curse. Feel bad for their fans as well as Ovechkin. Also sucks because a Lightning vs Rangers matchup could be a real snoozer with the way the Rangers play to win games 1-0 or 2-1 and the Lightning haven't exactly been prolific in the playoffs.

In the last 4 seasons the Caps have played 5 game 7's

They've won 2 and lost 3

They beat Boston in 2012 and the Isles this year

The three losses? All to the Rangers. That would suck as a Cap fan. They must loathe the Rangers

I kinda felt like this was their year, but no go.

I also feel bad for Ovi not getting 500 before his 30th birthday. He could have easily been top 40 or maybe even top 30 in all time goals before his 30th birthday were it not for the two lockouts he sat thru. That really would have cemented his legend status.

It's a dang shame.

What really bothered me was how the media ran with the "Ovi guaranteed a win" when he did no such thing. He just said they were going to go back and win in NY... like any player would have said.

I hate how boring the Rangers are to watch. I hope they don't beat the Lightning.
